The regional event “Mapping touristic destinations in Zupa” was organized by the NGO Agro Red Gold from Recane, Kosovo* in partnership with the Center for Education and Development from Tearce and it was held in the period 11-12 March, 2017 in Recane, Kosovo*.
The main goal of this event was promotion of the touristic potential of the area of Zupa as a touristic destination. This two-day event was organized with the main objective to map the most attractive touristic destination around Zupa, where four touristic experts presented the most attractive locations in the area and the potential for tourism development of this rural area.
During the conference, more than 80 participants discussed and worked closely on:
- Strategy for tourism development of the area of Zupa;
- Mapping the most attractive destinations in the area;
- Exchange of experiences and presentations on benefits for the local population from tourism development in the region;
- Visit of the selected most attractive touristic sites in the region.
This activity is part of the European Union funded project: “Fostering regional cooperation and balanced territorial development of Western Balkan countries in the process towards EU integration” implemented by the Regional Rural Development Standing Working Group (SWG) in South-Eastern Europe.
